As classically as every month, it is worth taking a look at what the video game industry is preparing for us in the coming weeks. This time we will take August as a wallpaper. To say that it is going to be great is like saying nothing!
Game premieres in August 2022
The debut of F1 22, Matchpoint: Tennis Championships and MADiSON is behind us . This set also includes the Stray , which will be released on July 19. Due to the fact that August will come to us in just three weeks , it is worth taking a look at what the second holiday month will offer us.
Despite the high temperatures, and hence the laziness, developers do not have time to rest. We will have a lot of great premieres in the near future . A selection of the most interesting of them can be found below!
Thymesia (August 9)
We will start next month with an offer for all fans of atmospheric RPG games. This soulslike is characterized primarily by the dynamics of the game and an extensive system of biological weapons. The main storyline of the production focuses on the fallen kingdom of Hermes and the hero Corvus , whose task is to save the world.
An interesting element of Thymesia will be the creation of unique freedom in the game. By selecting individual weapons and improving specific statistics , as players we develop our own fighting style. It is worth noting that this is the debut product of OverBorder Studio . On the day of its release, the game will be available for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S consoles.
Marvel’s Spider-Man – PC version (August 12)
In this case, we are basically talking about a re-release, but it is such a large production that it is impossible not to mention it. Four years after Spider-Man ‘s debut on PlayStation 4 consoles, it’s time to transfer the gameplay directly to personal computers. Of course, the history itself and technical solutions will not change from the original version. We will be able to see the only differences only in the audiovisual setting of the game.
Marvel’s Spider-Man for PlayStation 4 was developed by Insomniac Games studio, while the PC game port was created by Nixxes Software. The Dutch developer in his CV can boast of transferring between platforms such as Tomb Raider or Hitman .
Madden NFL 23 (August 19)
Despite the fact that American football is not the most popular sport, the Madden NFL series of games is known to almost every simulator fan. Currently, Electronic Arts is behind the production of the series and it is no different in the case of the latest edition. The game is created on the Frostbite 3 engine, and on the day of its release it will be available for personal computers and PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S consoles.
NFL 23 will be unique to the circumstances of its release. The cover of the game will include John Madden – the legend of American football, who has been signing the popular cycle with his name since 1988! Unfortunately, the former coach and commentator died in December, and the appearance of his likeness on the cover is a kind of tribute to such an outstanding figure.
Saints Row (23 August)
The reboot of the series, which was once a huge competition for Grand Theft Auto , awaits us next month. Despite a large break in the publishing cycle, Volition did not give up its classic ideas. This means that the new Saints Row will be just as colorful, controversial and raunchy as the previous installments of the series.
In June, the official demo of the game was released, in which we can create the character of the main Boss Saints Row . The producers have to be told that in this case the hero’s creator looks really amazing. The plot of the upcoming action boy will take us to Santo Ileso, where the title gang was formed. We will be able to traverse the streets of a hot city on PCs as well as PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S consoles.
F1 Manager 2022 (August 30)
At the end of the premiere, which I personally expect the most. F1 Manager 2022 is a title that can affect the entire genre of sports simulators. It is worth noting here that it is an official Formula 1 product with all licenses and rights. This means that during the game we will be able to manage real drivers and a real team appearing in the F1 racing series.

The creators point out that the player will be able to manage almost every element of his team. This includes funds, F2 and F3 scouting, firing employees and hiring them, or selecting tactics for a specific race.
